Piritta Riikonen is a Berlin-based visual artist and illustrator, originally from Helsinki, Finland. She studied fine arts in Finland, specializing in printmaking, and later graphic design in England.
Her digital works are built through layered compositions that combine vibrant colors, organic and geometric forms, and symbolic elements.
Riikonen’s visual worlds are often dreamlike, rhythmic, and meditative – spaces where nature, the human experience, and the subconscious intertwine.
Recurring motifs such as plants, animals, water, and constructed environments form immersive compositions in which multiple layers of meaning coexist. At the core of her practice is a focus on visual rhythm, emotion, and atmosphere, creating moments that invite the viewer to pause and reflect.
